Robert Lee "Bob" Henry, 71, of Seymour passed away on November 27, 2024, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour, IN.
Robert was born on June 10, 1953, in Washington, IN to John Robert "Bob" and Mary Leona "Emmons" Henry. He was a graduate of Shoals High School. Bob was very instrumental in founding and running military history projects. He was a founding member and Director Emeritus of the M20CW Museum of 20th Century Warfare at Fort Harrison in Indianapolis, former director of Columbus/Atterbury Bakalar Air Museum and the Vietnam Experience Living History Project. Bob was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 61.
Bob is survived by his wife of 42 years, Louise 'Galloway" Henry; brother, John (Marylen) Henry; brothers-in-law: Loren (Karen) Galloway, David (Donna) Galloway and John Galloway; sister-in-law, Edith Pinnick; niece, Lindsay Qualkenbush; nephew, C.J. Qualkenbush. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Charles William "Bill" Henry, sisters: Rhonda Beth Henry and Sandy Sue Henry-Qualkenbush.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, December 3, 20204, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Voss & Sons Funeral and Cremation Service, 316 North Chestnut St. Seymour and again on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care, 431 High Street Shoals, IN 47581. A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024, 1:00 PM at Queen-Lee Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Romans officiating. Burial will follow at in Hickory Ridge Cemetery, Shoals.
