Robert White, Sr, age 83, of Mitchell, Indiana passed away on September 29, 2015 at 4:55 p.m. at the Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.
Born on November 22, 1931 in Lawrence County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Opal and Leafy Agnes (Burton) White. He married Mary Ann Harder in Bedford, Indiana on April 16, 1955.
Bob graduated from Huron High School in 1951 and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Shoals American Legion Post #61 and VFW Post #8589. He retired from National Gypsum in 1997 and was previously employed in the timber, trucking and railroad industries, Indianapolis Chevrolet Body Plant, Loogootee Products, and Mitchell Crushed Stone.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann of Mitchell

Preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Corliss Rose White, brother Harold White and sister Ruth White.
Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Shoals American Legion will accord military graveside rites.
